Anyone applying for a job must be serious and committed. While the work does have its interesting and adventurous side, it also has its very boring and tedious aspects requiring perseverance. Too many people have short attention spans and give up easily, or when the going gets tough, rather than taking responsibility and doing their best every time. We have a pleasant team to help with analysis and problem solving, but you must maintain the right attitude.
Note: We've had more than 100 foreign guys offer to be private investigators, most just wanting a job in Thailand. Actually, to do this job well, you must be Thai. Otherwise, you stand out in Thai society as regards surveillance. For most other assignments, you must also be able to speak and usually read Thai well, be very experienced and familiar with Thai culture and widely different realms of Thai society, and have the necessary contacts. Imagine a Thai guy going to the USA to find work as a private investigator in American society, and you'll get a good idea of what's required.
Our operation is based on a core group of Thai private investigators. Our native speaking expat mainly deals with customers by email, and assists with analysis as well as being counsellor to the foreigners, all in liaison with Thai management and agents. Even though our native speaking expat has lived here since 1994 in many places in Thai society, has travelled the whole country, can read Thai to some extent, and so forth, this operation is still almost entirely dependent upon skilled longtime Thai agents.
There are exceptions for foreigners, firstly based on your location outside of the Bangkok region.
An interview and a personal history are required. (Notably, you don't want to be chased down by either the customer or us, for not doing your best at the work you agree to do!)
