www.ThailandGuru.com is our Thailand and Bangkok guide for expats living and working in Thailand, which as been a well known website since the year 2000. It includes a subsection on Thai ladies, mainstream girlfriends, bargirls, freelancers.

Thailand PI focuses on research (Thai language researchers), surveillance (discreet Thai teams), undercover work (mainly Thai lady agents), and operations mainly outside of the tourist/expat go-go bar areas, though many of our cases include operations inside the tourist/expat bar areas and an expat on the team (usually Mark of Thailand Guru). Mark's agents are mainly his wife's extended family and longtime close friends, who Mark and his wife have trained very well, for reasons of trust, reliability, and long term retention.

Below are some external websites and entities, who/which are entirely independent of us:

Regarding bargirls, especially go-go bargirls, a most famous, long time website (starting in the early 2000s) with a lot of information on the go-go bar nightlife scene, life in central Bangkok's tourist areas, readers' stories, and teaching in Thailand ... is by a former English teacher from New Zealand who goes by the tradename Stickman, and his famous website is www.StickmanBangkok.com

Notably, Stickman ran a solo "Stickman Investigations" service from about 2002 until he returned to New Zealand in 2015. I've known Stickman personally, going back to around the year 2000 (I don't remember exactly when), before he started Stickman Bangkok and Stickman Investigations. He was a friendly competitor but with only a small overlap of work. Stickman focused mainly on in-the-bar cases. Because I don't like doing inside-the-gogo-bar cases, for around 10 years I referred customers wanting inside-the-gogo-bar work (and many massage places) to Stickman, and he referred customers wanting surveillance to me. Unfortunately, Stickman returned to New Zealand, so unless and until he returns, I'm considering those kinds of cases again. Please understand that I am a happily married man, I normally do not drink alcohol, and I haven't spent much time in go-go bars in the 21st century (mainly just meeting friends at bars occasionally, though under special circumstances I've done private investigations in go-go bars), but if there's a job to be done, well, I can handle that kind of work quite well, and easily blend in as a foreign man. Of course, it's unusual for outside non-employee Thai ladies to go inside a go-go bar.

One day, I was surprised to find that one of our clients had already submitted to StickmanBangkok.com a story about his girlfriend and our investigation without telling me in advance.

In September 2022, we were surprised to find out about an existing write-up on the CleverThai.com reviews site, which is an interesting website in that they choose categories and manually review what they think are some of the best service providers, markets, entertainment venues, and so on. The ThaiClever website is an interesting project which I think many people will find helpful as regards various things of interest in Thailand.

For an investigative agency to handle pursuit of major criminals, corporate investigations, asset searches, intellectual property, and coordination of law enforcement, I recommend you contact VeriSec, Ltd., in Bangkok on Wireless Road. Since 1995, I (Mark) have known the Director of VeriSec and his preceding companies (Pinkerton's Thailand branch, and Quantico). The Director is Mr. Russell Lerner, aka "Rusty", originally a Texan and a master of the Thai and Mandarin languages. Rusty was previously Managing Director of the Bangkok branch of the giant American multinational Pinkerton Investigations, until Pinkerton was bought by a giant European conglomerate but the Bangkok office reacted to that by deciding to buy out their domestic office and run their own operation, whereby Rusty and his team reincorporated as Quantico, Ltd., using the same staff and office, practically nothing else changing. Later, G4S bought Quantico, some time after which Rusty moved on to VeriSec. Rusty's clients have included a long list of many of the biggest brand names in the world, as well as medium and small sized enterprises. Contact them at VerisecLtd.com . Their website is not flashy because they rely on steady work based on repeat customers and referrals. Rusty and I have referred a lot of clients to each other as well as subcontracted occasionally, up to the time of my update of this page in 2022, and I expect this to continue.

Internationally, especially for corporate investigations, a firm I would recommend, which is headquartered in Singapore, is Aegis Interaktif Asia, especially for expert forensic and compliance/investigation services, cofounded and codirected by Peter Coleman. (I have always liked Singapore, like Japan, Australia, and some other countries, because of their generally ethical business culture.)

As noted before, we are NOT policemen and my company generally handles non-criminal matters though with some exceptions. We are not into busting criminals, but instead into protecting people, though we can refer you to investigators like Rusty who do go after criminals and coordinate apprehending them, and to lawyers. (Notably, I've had enough of dealing with some major bad things in this world in the past, and some kinds of minds which go with that...)

We have handled matters with the Thai police and authorities countless times, and that's fine. You can run things by us. However, I would like to provide some links and guidance to some alternatives which some readers may want to try to pursue on their own, and general readers of this site can choose what may best fit their needs and preferences.

If you need a lawyer, then I would suggest Siam-Legal.com who some of my clients have used and been happy with over the years.

If you need to contact the police, then we would suggest the tourist police because their English is best, and they can usually point you in the right direction and explain things to you. You should understand that if you need the services of the regular (non-tourist) Thai police for ordinary matters, then the appropriate place to contact is the district police office in the area of interest of your matter. Sometimes, one of our agents can assist you. If you come to Thailand, then an interpreter may help significantly with the non-tourist police, but I would suggest you may want to try contacting the tourist police first.

The Tourist Police can be called at 1155 inside Thailand (free call from any pay phone), or +66-2-678-6800 from outside Thailand.

Embassy and consulate contact information can be found at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs website at www.mfa.go.th (as well as a general internet search, of course).

Interpol, the international police coordinating organization with 179 member countries, is at www.interpol.int or www.interpol.com

I'd rather not go into many details of interacting with these various government entities on this website, but I often advise people on how they may want to do so, on a case by case basis.

Our main work, however, is finding people and discreet surveillance. For other things, I hope the above links help you out.
